FAQ

  1. Are your Kits free?
    Yes. All of our Kits are absolutely free. Whether you request ScrapGold Kit, Jewelry Kit or Accessories Kit. The reply mail is pre-addressed, prepaid and insured.
  2. Am I obligated to send you my items if I order your Kit?
    No. There is no obligation for you.
  3. Do you buy silver?
    We do buy silver, however, only in large volume (at least 5 pounds of material). If you have enough material please contact us directly at toll free 1-888-800-1007.
  4. Do you buy dental scrap? And if so, what? And is it safe to ship?
    We buy all Gold or Silver Crowns, Bridges, PFM's, PFG's, Inlays, and Caps with or without the bone or porcelain. All of the material has been approved for shipping by OSHA, DHS and the EPA.
  5. Do you buy diamonds?
    We do buy diamonds. We also buy any kind of jewelry containing diamonds. But the diamonds we pay for should be of 0.50carats or over. For smaller weight diamonds we do NOT pay. The stone removal is very expensive and time consuming. It means that if you send in a ring with 3 small diamonds with a  total weight 0.50 carats you will not get paid for diamonds. If you send in a ring with 1 diamond of 0.50carat weight you will receive money for this stone. *Jewelry with small diamonds and any other gems and stones of any weight is considered as scrap gold/platinum.
  6. How do I know my material is safe and secure? What about when it gets to your refinery?
    First of all we insure all of our Kits. Secondly, the Kit was designed specifically to keep your material safe and secure throughout the entire shipping process. We have never lost a Kit or had one stolen. Finally our CashForYourGold tracking system allows you to track your Kit every step of the way up until it arrives at our facility which is constantly monitored by closed-circuit security cameras.
  7. If I am unhappy with my settlement, will it cost me anything to get my material back?
    Absolutely not. If we didn't contact you prior to sending you a check you have a right to get your items back. All you need to do is contact us within 10 business days from the date listed on your settlement check and we will happily return all of your material to you free of charge. However, if we contact you prior to issuing you a check and you accept our offer 10 days return policy is no longer applicable. *You should note that any item with no value will be donated to charity unless you contact us within 10 business days of issuing a check. To return this kind of item return shipping fee will apply. Please read Terms & Conditions for details.
  8. Can I mail my material in my own packaging?

  9. What if my material does not fit in CashForYourGold Kit?
    No problem. No amount is too small or too big. We are equipped to handle all shipments regardless of size. Contact us either by phone at 1-888-800-1007 or email and we will help you make all of the necessary arrangements.
  10. Do you guys buy broken jewelry?
    As long as it contains gold or platinum, we will pay you for it. The material's value is based on its weight and purity — not its condition.
  11. What can I send in?
    You can mail us any material containing gold or platinum. That includes anklets, bracelets, brooches, chains, charms, clasps, coins, dental scrap (Gold or Silver), earrings, gold solder, ingots, links, necklaces, nuggets, pendants, pins, rings, shot, watches and bands, wire (Gold or Platinum) and EVERYTHING ELSE! All Karats Accepted: 8k 9k 10k 14k 15k 18k 22k 24k. And if you are not sure of something, either mail it to us and let our experts make the determination or give us a call and we will help you over the phone.
  12. How do I ship my items to you?
    The whole process is just 3 easy steps!
    1 — Complete the request form on the right
    2 — Receive you prepaid, pre-addressed, insured Kit
    3 — Put your items in the reply envelop, seal it and drop it off in your nearest FedEx store or FedEx drop box. You are all done!
